Students and academics from the Optometry Program at Senirkent Vocational School conducted an awareness event in Garip Village and Senirkent town center to contribute to public health. During the event, the team met with citizens and provided information on eye health.
The event focused particularly on glaucoma, commonly known as "eye pressure." Experts and students emphasized the critical role of early diagnosis in preventing vision loss and stressed the importance of regular eye checkups for citizens.
In addition to the information sessions, free eyeglass maintenance and repairs were also provided. Participants expressed their satisfaction with the initiative, and the event received significant interest from the public.
Officials from the Senirkent Vocational School Optometry Program stated that they will continue their social responsibility efforts prioritizing public health, adding, "For healthy eyes, for healthy tomorrows, we will continue to raise public awareness and support individuals of all ages."
