The establishment of Senirkent Vocational School was proposed by the Süleyman Demirel University Senate to the Council of Higher Education with the decision dated 24.03.1994 and numbered 26/3. The Executive Board of Higher Education decided to establish Senirkent Vocational School during its meeting on 21.07.1994, in accordance with Articles 7/d-2 and 7/4 of Law No. 2547, amended by Law No. 2080. During the meeting held on 08.09.1994, the same board approved the admission of students. The vocational school began education in the 1994-1995 academic year with 87 students in three programs, starting on October 31, 1994, in the stone building of Turan Primary School, temporarily allocated to the university by the Ministry of National Education.
Pursuant to Law No. 7141, titled "Law on Amendments to the Higher Education Law and Certain Other Laws and Decrees," published in the Official Gazette dated May 18, 2018, and numbered 30425, 17 vocational schools, including our school, along with four faculties and two higher education schools within Süleyman Demirel University, were transferred to the newly established Isparta University of Applied Sciences. Thus, starting from the 2018-2019 academic year, our vocational school has been operating under the umbrella of Isparta University of Applied Sciences.
Our school, continuing its educational activities with programs in Computer Programming, Construction Technology, Logistics, Opticianry, and Health Institutions Management, successfully trains individuals who will serve the qualified workforce needs of our country and contributes effectively to the science, industry, and technology of our nation.
Our school ensures that students from all regions of the country acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, enabling them to become successful individuals. The achievements of our graduates, both in the institutions they work for and in their own private professional fields, stand as living proof of this success.
