Architectural Drafting Program
Architectural Drafting Program is an associate degree program under Isparta University of Applied Sciences Senirkent Vocational School. It will admit its first students in the 2025–2026 academic year.
The program duration is 4 semesters (2 years) and is delivered using a 3+1 education model. In this model, students complete three semesters of theoretical and practical coursework at school and spend one semester in workplace-based training to gain direct industry experience.
The main purpose of this system is to help students reinforce their knowledge in real working environments, follow current industry developments on-site, and improve their employment opportunities after graduation.
To successfully graduate, students must:
- Successfully complete all compulsory and elective courses (equivalent to 120 ECTS credits),
- Achieve a minimum GPA of 2.00 out of 4.00,
- Complete 30 days of mandatory internship.
About the Program
The Architectural Drafting Program trains qualified intermediate staff who can work in architectural and technical drawing fields within the construction industry.
Students gain skills in:
- Preparing technical drawings of architectural projects,
- Understanding building systems,
- Accurately representing structural elements,
- Using computer-aided design (CAD) software effectively.
Graduates may work in architectural and engineering offices, construction companies, building inspection firms, municipalities, or similar organizations as project technicians or architectural draftsmen. They may also continue their education through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) into related bachelor’s programs.
The program also emphasizes occupational health and safety, ethical responsibility, and professional communication skills.
Program Objectives
